Calgary Embraces Newfoundland Mary

The past month has been a huge amount of work putting up the production of Newfoundland Mary at Calgary’s Lunchbox Theatre, but the effort has been so worthwhile.  Last week saw 3 sold out shows, and on Saturday some audience members who hadn’t booked in advance had to buy tickets for a later performance.  Here’s a peek at the process of getting our show out to the Calgary audiences.

GOOD REVIEWS LEAD TO SOLD OUT HOUSES

We have two weeks left in the run, and some shows are already at limited availability, so if you are in Calgary prior to May 13th, come and check out Newfoundland Mary.  For ticket information click here

Of course, all work and no play leads to dull playwrights.  We have been overwhelmed with family and friends who have come to visit the show and take time out of their busy schedule to travel to Calgary.  We have done a few side trips, and one of the most memorable was to the Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre.  Below are a few photos.

Let’s just say that Fenton & White have been having a great time in Calgary.  This is just a quick update, but a few weeks down the road, we’ll send out more news on our artistic activities coming up in May including public readings of our plays, and development on new projects.  Pete had to go home today, but if you are in Calgary, Scott is in town until May 16th playing the show each day and preparing it to go on the road with a tour with Smile Theatre into senior’s residences for an additional two weeks.   Hope to catch up with you.  Until then, wishing you a creative month ahead.

Warmest Regards,
